Conversion Tracking - ATP Specific

To set up conversion tracking, you can simply set up a segment.

The relevant criteria would be:
  • Email Campaigns targeted by/targeted by & opened/targeted by & clicked campaign name
    • Use "targeted by" if you want to include the people who received the email in their inbox but never opened/clicked it, but ended up purchasing the product at the park or independently
    • Including this criteria can be optional, depending on what calculation you desire (i.e. do you want to limit the conversion calculation to just people of that campaign's target audience? or maybe you want to include people who never received the email as well?)
  • Purchase in the last/between/before/after etc.... is greater than 0
    • 'purchase' should be found in the External Events area of the dropdown
    • If it needs to be added, go to Configuration, click on the Events tab, and then add it to the Events area (all lowercase 'purchase')
  • Item/Items is one of select product(s) name
    • 'item' or 'items' should be found in the Event Attributes area of the dropdown
    • If it needs to be added, go to Configuration, click on the Events tab, and then add it to the Event Attributes area ('item' for Active8 and 'items' for CE). Then click on the three little lines for it and generate options.
    • If you're not seeing the product name, make sure you generate options in Configuration.

By using purchase and item, they work together to look for that item within those specific purchases only.

For the Round Rock example below, I set this up early January so I made a static segment (since promo was over) and looked at the last 35 days (to cover the entire month of December plus a few extra days in case purchases registered late). Then added the item criteria.... So out of the purchases in those 35 days, the segment will calculate the number of purchases that included the 'noon years eve pass' item. Did not include the Email Campaigns criteria because this was promoted across several different emails and I was just interested in looking for a total conversion.
